Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today, Tuesday, that "Russia is intensifying its attacks on the front line," while Kyiv called on Western countries to increase their arms supplies before winter. Zelensky stated, "The army has recorded an increase in enemy attacks," pointing out that "the Russians are attacking areas around the cities of Donetsk, Kupiansk, and Avdiivka." He also warned that "Russia is likely to escalate its airstrikes on Ukrainian energy-related infrastructure before winter, as it did at this time last year." Zelensky described "the Russian missile and artillery strikes on the city of Kherson as 'retaliatory', not based on any military necessities."
