The Saudi Royal Court announced today, Sunday, the death of Prince Talal bin Mansour bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. A statement from the Royal Court said: “His Royal Highness Prince Talal bin Mansour bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has passed away. The funeral prayer will be held today, Sunday, after the evening prayer at the Grand Mosque in Mecca.” The statement added: “May Allah envelop him with His vast mercy, forgiveness, and pleasure, and grant him a place in His spacious gardens. Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed, to Him we shall return.”
Prince Talal bin Mansour, who was 73 years old, is considered one of the historic presidents of Al-Ittihad Football Club in Saudi Arabia and one of its most important figures throughout the club's history. He first served as president of Al-Ittihad between 1974 and 1981, and then again from 1983 to 1985. Prince Talal had been in poor health for several days, after which he was transferred to a hospital until his passing.
