The Group of Seven industrialized nations (the U.S., the U.K., France, Canada, Germany, Italy, and Japan) pledged on Wednesday to "address the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and minimize civilian casualties to the lowest possible level." The group condemned in a joint statement following an online meeting the "increased violence of extremist settlers against Palestinians," calling for a "halt to destabilizing activities in the region," and emphasized that "Iran should not provide support to Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis." They continued: "We support more humanitarian ceasefire periods in the Israel-Hamas conflict," and called on all parties not to threaten the legal rights of all ships in navigation or interfere with them.
