The French daily "Le Figaro," in its editorial on Monday, stated that France, which is shifting from one crisis to another, is recently presenting a "disturbing" scene—a country "out of control, accumulating anger amid a suffocating atmosphere." The editorial, titled "French Drowning," highlighted that "the world first discovered the yellow vest movement with astonishment. Then it witnessed the long struggle over pension reform, followed by street unrest triggered by the killing of a teenager by a French police officer." The writer noted that "within a year, this country will host the Summer Olympics," pointing out that the question is "not whether France will be ready, but whether it will be worthy of the event." The newspaper mentioned that, amid the violent disturbances shaking France since last Tuesday, several countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, have urged their citizens currently in France or planning to travel there to exercise caution and avoid gatherings.
