US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated on Thursday that "the United States is deeply concerned about reports of an imminent attack in Al-Fasher, Northern Darfur, Sudan." In a statement issued by the State Department, Blinken urged the warring parties to immediately halt further attacks in Al-Fasher and the surrounding areas, in order to fulfill their obligations under international humanitarian law regarding civilians.
