Driving Test Ends in Disaster for Woman

People usually strive to obtain a driver's license as soon as they turn 18, but an elderly woman in Argentina decided to do so at the age of 63. This experience ended horrifically, nearly costing her life.

A video captured by surveillance cameras showed a dangerous collision when the woman was attempting to drive during her test, violently crashing into a lamp post. The woman was driving in a completely empty area, as she was the only one on the road, but it appears she lost control of the vehicle. Initially, she drove onto the grass before speeding toward the lamp post, which was a few meters away.

The strong impact uprooted the lamp post while the car flipped onto one side. The woman was later taken to a hospital in Lanús, eastern Argentina, with minor injuries. Commentators suggested that it is likely she confused the brake and accelerator pedals, a common mistake for new drivers.
