Toronto, competing in Major League Soccer, announced on Monday the dismissal of Bob Bradley, who held the positions of head coach and sporting director, after the team secured only three victories out of 20 matches. Bradley, who began his tenure with Toronto in November 2021, was let go following a string of poor results that left the club second to last in the Eastern Conference. Toronto's president, Bill Manning, stated in a release, "Bob displayed great professionalism, and we thank him for his dedication and hard work during his time here. We are disappointed that we could not achieve the results we expected." The club has decided to appoint Terry Dunfield, who was responsible for the U17 team in Toronto's academy, as the interim coach. The seasoned coach Bradley has previously worked in England, Egypt, Norway, and the Netherlands, in addition to five clubs in Major League Soccer. He also coached the U.S. men's national team from 2006 to 2011, leading them to the knockout stage of the 2010 World Cup.
