Storm "Daniel" Visits Egypt: Will It Be a Heavy Guest?

Storm

The storm "Daniel" has reached Egypt and struck two northern governorates, Marsa Matrouh and Alexandria. The storm covered the areas along the Egyptian border in the western part of the country, including the cities of Sallum, Siwa, Matrouh, and Alexandria. Various channels have shown satellite images depicting the shape of the storm that has knocked on Egypt’s doors, displaying layers of different clouds and accompanying dust.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority stated today, Monday, that it is expected that the stirred sands will affect areas of Upper Egypt, the Delta, and Greater Cairo as time progresses. It mentioned that clouds will start entering the country, accompanied by rainfall that could be heavy and thunderous in the far western regions. The authority added that the storm has lost most of its strength after reaching the land in Libya, thus its impact on Egyptian territories will be completely different. Additionally, it warned that the country could face a state of instability in weather conditions for today and the next 72 hours, affecting areas from the west to the north of the country.
