The Russian Ministry of Defense announced this morning that its air defenses shot down a Ukrainian drone flying over the Moscow region, along with six other drones heading towards the annexed Crimean Peninsula. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated in a separate post on Telegram that "according to preliminary information, there were no damages or casualties at the debris site." Sobyanin added that "emergency service experts are working at the incident location." The frequency of Ukrainian drone attacks targeting Russian territory has increased since Kyiv launched its counteroffensive in June. These attacks are now targeting several Russian regions, including the capital Moscow, as well as Crimea.
