Spanish Aprilia team rider Maverick Viñales set a new record for the fastest lap today, Saturday, securing the pole position for the MotoGP Valencia Grand Prix, the final race of the season, taking place tomorrow, Sunday. Viñales achieved pole for the first time since 2021, clocking in at 1:28.931, surpassing Ducati rider Pecco Bagnaia. Current world champion and points leader Francesco Bagnaia from Italy will start from second place, four positions ahead of his nearest title rival, Spaniard Jorge Martin.
