Mexican government officials announced that at least 15 people were killed and 21 others injured in a bus crash in the coastal state of Nayarit in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officials stated that the accident occurred near Branca Blanca on the highway outside the state capital, Tepic. They added that the passenger bus, belonging to Elite Company, was headed to Tijuana. The accident happened when the bus veered off the highway, falling into a ravine in western Mexico. The Nayarit Civil Protection and Fire Authority said, "There are 21 injured individuals of various ages receiving assistance at the accident site, in addition to 15 individuals who are motionless and are being evacuated from the site."
