Khaled Mashal, the head of Hamas abroad, confirmed today that the attack on Israel was a calculated adventure, referring to the surprise attack by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of Hamas - on Israel on October 7th. In an exclusive interview with "Al Arabiya," he stated that Netanyahu's government has set an agenda to Judaize Al-Aqsa, asserting, "Israel kills us whether we resist or not." He added that "the calculations of our operation against Israel were within a narrow framework," indicating that "to achieve the element of surprise in our operation, not everyone was aware of it."
He stressed that "Hamas and the Palestinian factions do not target civilians, but Israel randomly targets civilians." He noted that "the Arab stance towards the current situation is good, and we request more," emphasizing, "We do not call on peoples to wars." He indicated that "Hezbollah and Iran have provided us with weapons and support, and we request more." He continued, "Hamas has a number of Israeli soldiers held as hostages sufficient for negotiating the release of Palestinian prisoners."
