Lieutenant General Yahya Rasool, spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, announced today, Tuesday, the death of 3 ISIS members in a military operation by the Counter-Terrorism Service in Kirkuk Province (250 km north of Baghdad). Rasool stated in a press release today: "The Counter-Terrorism Service executed a qualitative operation distinguished by high professionalism in the Zghaitun Valley within Kirkuk Province to pursue the remnants of ISIS, which resulted in the killing of 3 terrorists." He explained that this operation was supported by army aviation, which eliminated one of the terrorists, noting that a second terrorist, who was wearing an explosive belt, detonated himself after being surrounded following an engagement. The spokesman added that the third killed was surrounded in an abandoned house and was carrying a number of hand grenades, leading to an engagement that resulted in his death.
