A spokesperson for Asiana Airlines announced the safe landing of one of its planes in Daegu, South Korea, today, Friday, after its door opened shortly before arrival at the airport. The plane landed at Daegu Airport around 12:40 PM (03:40 GMT) after departing from Jeju Island an hour earlier, according to the airport's flight schedule. The airline's spokesperson revealed that the incident resulted in no injuries, but some passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment of breathing problems due to the shock. A fire department official in Daegu indicated that "nine people were taken to a nearby hospital." The police are investigating the incident after a passenger, who was near the emergency exit, reported that they touched the handle.
