Former Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Riad Salameh, did not appear before the appeal authority in Beirut today, Wednesday, chaired by Judge Sami Sadek, due to not being duly notified of the session's date. The session has been postponed to Tuesday, August 29. Judge Sadek decided to return the case to the first investigating judge in Beirut, Charbel Abou Samra, who will hold a session tomorrow, Thursday, dedicated to questioning Rami Salameh, the brother of Riad Salameh, and his assistant, Maryan Hwaik, regarding the public prosecutor's charges against them of "embezzlement, forgery, money laundering, and illicit enrichment."
