The Minister of Information in the caretaker government, Ziad Makari, mentioned after his meeting with Prime Minister Najib Mikati this morning at the Grand Serail that "the situation in the south and the region was discussed, and how to handle media coverage during this critical phase by the government and the media." He indicated that "this matter will be addressed in a meeting that we will call for in the Ministry of Information to organize work during this difficult phase."
The Prime Minister also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdullah Bou Habib.
MP Michel Daher was received by Mikati, who stated: "We talked about economic attaches, their appointment, and the necessity for them to focus more on agricultural guidance and advising to identify the required products abroad."
Additionally, the Prime Minister met with the acting Governor of the Central Bank, Wassim Mansouri, to discuss financial conditions and monetary stability.
