President of the Parliament Nabih Berri received Minister of Defense of the caretaker government Maurice Slim at the second presidential headquarters in Ain el-Tineh, where they discussed the general situation and the latest political and field developments "in light of the escalation of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the Lebanese border areas with occupied Palestine."
President Berri also reviewed the developments and updates during his meeting with former Minister Ghazi al-Aridi.
