Anger in Lebanon After Gaza Massacre... Mobilization of Protests

In condemnation of the bombing of the Baptist hospital carried out by Israel tonight in Gaza, which resulted in around 500 martyrs and thousands of injured, mostly women and children, protest vigils and motorcycle rallies carrying the Palestinian flag were organized in various Lebanese areas, including the capital Beirut, the southern suburbs, and Palestinian camps. A motorcycle demonstration traversed the streets of Beirut in protest against the bombing of the hospital in Gaza.

The correspondent from the National News Agency reported that a protest started at night towards the intersection near the American Embassy in Aoukar, in response to the Israeli attack on the Baptist hospital in Gaza, amidst strict security measures taken by the security forces and the army. All roads leading to the embassy were blocked with barbed wire. Despite this, there was rampant chaos around the American embassy, accompanied by stone-throwing and the use of tear gas.

There were also attempts to storm the ESCWA building in Beirut by masked individuals armed with stones, sticks, and Molotov cocktails. Angry protests occurred in front of the ESCWA building affiliated with the United Nations in Beirut.
