Escaped from Prison on the Day of His Release After 22 Years

A Russian man named Kamolgon Kalonov escaped from prison on the very day he was scheduled to be released after serving 22 years for serious crimes. The charges against Kalonov included murder, robbery, possession of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and explosive devices. The regional office of the Federal Penitentiary Service reported to the news agency "Novosti" that Kalonov disappeared on the morning of his release, around 4 AM. He was first convicted in 1997 for planning a "criminal organization" and was released from prison, but was again convicted in 2001 and imprisoned for 22 years.
