Iranian Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, Bahram Einollahi, announced during the opening ceremony of the 27th meeting of the member states of the Five Nations Group his intention to visit Cairo next week. The minister stated that he will meet and talk with health ministers from friendly countries, emphasizing that health diplomacy is a common point among all nations and enhances cooperation among neighbors in the region.
He added, "Considering that 97% of the medicines and 40% of the medical equipment needed by Iran are produced domestically, there are no limits to pharmaceutical production in the region, and we are ready to cooperate with neighboring countries in this field. There are various areas of cooperation among the Five Nations Group, including treatment, education, nursing, and dentistry."
Einollahi noted that despite the harsh sanctions imposed by the U.S. and the West on Iran over the past 44 years, significant progress has been made in the fields of medicine and medical equipment. He expressed hope for increased cooperation among friendly and neighboring countries.
He also confirmed that "no country can achieve the highest level of health on its own, and therefore, the Five Nations Group is a leader in this cooperation, making it essential to exchange and implement each other's experiences in the production and distribution of medicines and regulations."
