Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov confirmed that military cooperation between Russia and Iran will not yield to geopolitical pressures, following reports that Washington requested Tehran to stop selling drones to Moscow. Ryabkov stated today, "There are no changes, and cooperation with Iran will continue. We enjoy independence and do not submit to the dictates of the United States and its followers." Earlier this month, the Financial Times reported, citing an Iranian official and another person familiar with the talks, that the United States is asking Iran to cease the sale of armed drones being used by Russia in the war in Ukraine.
