Pakistan Moves Closer to Approving Plan to Deport Illegal Immigrants

Pakistan's caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti indicated today that "Pakistan is finalizing a plan to deport all illegal immigrants, as the deadline for their departure approaches on November 1." In a press conference in Islamabad, Bugti stated, "It is a difficult task," adding that Pakistan is determined to expel all illegal migrants. He also mentioned that "the status of all illegal immigrants, some of whom have lived in Pakistan for years, will be reviewed at the centers established by the government before their departure, while those who will leave Pakistan voluntarily will be assisted."
