Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Monday that "the extension of the ban on Ukrainian grain exports by land to the European Union in September is unacceptable." He mentioned on Telegram, "Our position is clear... preventing exports by land after September 15, when the related restrictions end, is unacceptable in any form." Zelensky added, “We trust in the agreement with the European Commission, but we are preparing for any scenario." He noted that "our country, which is not an EU member but wants to join it, is in contact with all stakeholders to seek a solution that suits everyone." Last week, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal urged Kyiv's partners and the European Commission to ensure the unhindered export of all Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU.
