Biden: America Ready to Assist Japan After Earthquake

U.S. President Joe Biden announced in a statement that the United States is ready to provide any necessary assistance to Japan following the earthquake that struck the central part of the country on Monday. He stated, "The United States and Japan, as close allies bonded by a deep friendship, unite our people. Our hearts are with the Japanese people during this difficult time." Four people have been confirmed dead in Ishikawa Prefecture after a 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit the country on Monday, according to Kyodo News citing the prefecture's crisis management team.
