Saudi club Al-Hilal is close to signing Lazio's Serbian international star, Sergej Milinković-Savić. On Monday, renowned Italian transfer market expert, journalist Fabrizio Romano, reported that Al-Hilal reached a verbal agreement with Lazio to acquire Savić for 40 million euros. Romano confirmed via his Twitter account that "the decision is now in the hands of the Serbian player, whose contract with the Italian capital club expires next summer."
The 28-year-old Savić played 36 matches with Lazio in the Italian league last season, contributing to 17 goals, scoring 9 goals, and providing 8 assists. If Savić's transfer to Al-Hilal is completed, he will be the third signing for the "leader" during the current summer transfer window, following Portuguese Ruben Neves and Senegalese Koulibaly.
