Mekari to Media Outlets: Taking Action to Protect Your Reporters in the South

Minister of Information in the caretaker government, Ziad Mekari, addressed a letter to Arab, foreign, and local media outlets, stating: "In order to prioritize the lives and rights of journalists and media professionals, the Ministry of Information requests that you take the necessary precautionary measures regarding the safety of your reporters and their teams who are covering military operations in southern Lebanon. This includes providing protective shields and helmets, obtaining insurance policies that cover all aspects of medical care, and ensuring comprehensive life insurance that covers the risks associated with working on the borders."
