Today, Monday, more than 1,000 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli forces, during the third day of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. The Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem announced that 1,035 settlers and Jewish extremists had entered the mosque since this morning.
During the incursion, female protectors raised the Quran in front of hundreds of settlers heading to storm the mosque on the third day of what is referred to as the "Feast of Tabernacles." Israeli forces attacked them, and one of the protectors was arrested near the Chain Gate, one of the entrances to Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The police evacuated all the protectors from Al-Aqsa Mosque to secure the settlers' incursions on the third day of the Hebrew Sukkot holiday.
