The Criminal Investigation Department of the Najran Police in Saudi Arabia arrested a Yemeni resident after he filmed a video documenting his entry into the residence of artist Mohamed Abdu and stealing his hat. After necessary investigations, the identity of the suspect was confirmed by the Criminal Investigation Department in Najran, leading to his arrest.
The suspect managed to illegally infiltrate the residence and execute the theft before leaving the scene. The police also arrested two other residents, one Yemeni and one Indian, and apprehended some citizens suspected of assisting the thief in carrying out the crime. Legal actions have been taken against them, and they have been referred to the Public Prosecution to face the charges against them.
In a statement, the Yemeni citizen who filmed the theft said that out of his great love for the artist, he wanted to capture a funny incident, but the joke turned serious when he and his companions found themselves wanted by the police.
