The organizers of the US Open tennis tournament announced on Monday that a fan was ejected from Arthur Ashe Stadium after German player Alexander Zverev, ranked 12th, reported that the man had shouted "the most famous Hitler phrase" during the fourth-round match.

A spokesperson for the US Open stated: "Zverev was subjected to an insulting remark. We identified the fan and decided to remove him from the stadium." Zverev angrily told the umpire, "He said the most famous Hitler phrase. This is unacceptable and unbelievable." The umpire then immediately asked the fan to identify himself, but he did not comply, and the umpire called for fans to show respect for the players.

Moments later, a security personnel intervened and identified the man with the help of the other spectators, leading to his ejection from the venue.
