The members of the bloc affirmed the importance of enacting a modern media law that considers the significant technological advancements in this field while balancing the preservation of the mission of journalism and objective, constructive media with the priority of the freedoms enshrined in the constitution. The deputies promised to convey the comments to the party and bloc leader, Deputy Taymour Jumblatt, for careful review and consideration in collaboration with the party's media commission, aiming to develop the best formulation to advance through the parliamentary Media and Communications Committee and subsequently to the relevant committees and the general assembly.
