The organizing committee of the Wheelchair World Cup praised the cooperation and support of the Basketball Federation with the organizing committee of the Wheelchair Basketball World Cup, which recently concluded in Dubai. This support included the allocation of a selection of the best local international referees to help manage the matches of this global event, which received great appreciation from the International Basketball Federation for Wheelchair Basketball. The German president, Ulf Mehraniss, stated that "Dubai has presented a model for the world, exceeding all expectations, and has established itself as a beacon for this sport in the Middle East."
During the closing ceremony held at the Dubai Trade Center, the organizers took care to honor the Federation, represented by the president of both the Arab and Emirati federations, Major General Ismail Al-Qirqawi, who attended the championship's conclusion, alongside the president of the international federation. He received a commemorative plaque from the Minister of State and Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, Hessa Issa Buhamid, who praised the efforts of the Basketball Federation, both in the World Championship and in its endeavor to promote the sport and bring it to a global level.
