German Donation of Two Million Euros to Support the Lebanese Army

Lebanese Army Commander General Joseph Aoun welcomed the German Ambassador to Lebanon, Kurt Georg Stuckel-Stilfried, at his office in Yarze, accompanied by the German military attaché, naval officer Kai Zimmermann. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the armed forces of both countries. The German ambassador and General Aoun signed an agreement under which the German authorities will provide a donation of two million euros to support the army during the current phase, which includes a quantity of fuel and medical supplies. Additionally, Joseph Aoun received the Deputy Special Coordinator of the United Nations in Lebanon, resident coordinator, and humanitarian affairs coordinator, Mr. Imran Riza, along with the Director-General of Operations at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Ms. Edem Wosornu. They discussed the general situation amid the exceptional circumstances the country is facing.
