Russia and China are set to sign a series of bilateral agreements today, Wednesday, as part of the visit by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to Beijing. The two neighboring giants continue to strengthen their cooperation despite Western criticisms.
During a meeting in Beijing, Mishustin noted that "relations with China have reached an unprecedented level, characterized by mutual respect for each other's interests and the desire to face challenges together." He added, "As our Chinese friends say, unity makes it possible to move mountains."
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang confirmed that his country is "ready to work with Russia to enhance their practical cooperation in various fields and elevate it to a new level." He stated, "The practical cooperation between China and Russia has shown good growth, and the level of investment between the countries is also continuously developing."
Earlier today, the Russian news agency "Interfax" reported that "Mishustin held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Chinese counterpart." It continued, "As a result of the talks, a number of bilateral agreements are set to be signed," without going into details. "Interfax" also mentioned that Russian energy supplies to China are expected to increase by 40% this year, and the two countries are discussing the supply of technological equipment to Russia.
