Erdogan: Israeli Attacks on Gaza Exceed Self-Defense

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated today, Thursday, that "Western countries do not adhere to international law regarding Gaza, because the spilled blood is Muslim blood," adding that the Israeli attacks on Gaza are "barbaric." President Erdogan: "We will continue to intensify our efforts to meet the urgent needs of the people of the Gaza Strip."

In a speech at the presidential palace, Erdogan accused Western countries of providing unconditional support for Israeli attacks on Gaza instead of calling for restraint. He emphasized, "No one should expect Turkey to remain silent in the face of violence in Gaza," noting that "there is no difference between the children of Gaza, Palestine, Israel, and Syria in the eyes of Turkey." He further stated that "Turkey must intensify its efforts with Egypt to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip."
