Dr. Ali Sobhi Hazima, head of the health department in Baalbek-Hermel, completed the inspection and sampling campaign for microbiological tests in cheese and dairy factories in the Baalbek district, which began about two months ago and included 19 factories. The results showed that there were products in 13 factories that did not meet standards, containing "total coliforms," "Escherichia coli," "yeasts," and "molds." Hazima submitted his report to Baalbek-Hermel Governor Bashir Khadr, who issued a decision assigning the regional command of the Internal Security Forces to notify the relevant factories to immediately cease production of all non-compliant products until necessary corrections are made, based on a report from the health department in Baalbek-Hermel confirming that the products are compliant.
