Germany: We Expect Israel to Provide Safe Havens for Civilians in Gaza

A spokesperson for the German Foreign Ministry stated today, Monday, that "Israel should not only order the residents of Gaza to move to safe places but also make that possible," amid concerns that the war against the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement (Hamas) could extend to southern Gaza, which is crowded with displaced persons. The spokesperson in Berlin emphasized, "It is important for Israel to avoid civilian casualties and abide by humanitarian law," adding that "the German government conveys this message in its talks with Israeli partners."
