UNIFIL Confirms Attack on Its Headquarters in the South

UNIFIL spokesman Andrea Tenenti confirmed that the UNIFIL headquarters in southern Lebanon was hit by a shell. He stated in a statement to AFP that "a shell fell inside the headquarters and the source is being investigated," noting "some damages without injuries." A Lebanese military source told AFP that "an Israeli shell breached the concrete wall surrounding the UNIFIL headquarters in the border town of Naqoura." This marks the second time a shell has struck the UNIFIL headquarters during the recent escalation in the southern Lebanese region.
