It was reported by the Dubai-based channel "Al-Hadath" today, Sunday, that Hannibal Gaddafi, the son of the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, has been transferred to a hospital in Lebanon and is in critical condition. The channel cited sources stating that Hannibal, who is on a hunger strike, "is suffering from a severe drop in blood sugar levels." Gaddafi began his hunger strike last month in protest against being detained without trial since 2015. Hannibal faces charges in Lebanon for concealing information about the fate of Imam Musa Al-Sadr, a Lebanese Shia cleric who disappeared during a trip to Libya in 1978. Gaddafi has claimed that he is a victim of injustice and that he is accused of a crime he did not commit. He was only two years old at the time of Musa Al-Sadr's disappearance.
