MP Tony Frangieh welcomed Captain Maroun Khoury, the general coordinator of the National Campaign for the Return of Syrian Refugees to their Country, along with campaign members former Brigadier General Mohammad Sbaiti, Pierre Gemayel, Ali Baydoun, and captains Fred Zaitoun, Paul Zenon, and Habib Hourani, at his office in Beirut. During the meeting, they discussed the proposed law for organizing the residency of Syrian refugees presented to the General Assembly of the Parliament, which could serve as a roadmap for the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland and the organization of Syrian labor in Lebanon. Frangieh expressed his willingness to "support the aforementioned draft law after studying it due to the necessity of addressing the Syrian refugee file in Lebanon, which has become an urgent threat to economic life and to the Lebanese identity that must be preserved." The issue of Syrian refugees and the importance of discussing laws organizing their return to their country was a focal point of the meeting with Captain Maroun Khoury and the accompanying delegation.
