The 100,000 Lira... in a New Format?

The Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Wassim Mansouri, issued a public announcement informing them about the introduction of a new 100,000 Lebanese Lira banknote, which will bear his signature and the signature of former governor Riad Salameh, to be put into circulation starting December 1, 2023. He also issued another announcement regarding a new 100,000 Lebanese Lira banknote bearing his signature and the signature of the second deputy governor Bashir Yaqdan, to be put into circulation starting January 2, 2024. In this context, Mansouri issued a clarifying statement regarding the two announcements mentioned.
