Manchester United Suffers Humiliating Defeat to Bournemouth

Manchester United faced a humiliating 3-0 defeat at home against Bournemouth in the Premier League today, Saturday, as pressure mounts once again on coach Erik ten Hag. The Dutch manager appeared despondent watching the match in the rain at Old Trafford, as the impressive Bournemouth outperformed his lackluster team.

Bournemouth rightfully took the lead with a close-range shot from Dominic Solanke just five minutes into the match. The home side finally began to threaten the visitors for an equalizer in the second half, but they conceded two goals in five minutes, with Philip Billing and Marcus Senesi scoring from powerful headers amid a lack of United's defense.

Bournemouth sought more goals and was denied a late fourth when Dango Ouattara found the net, but the referee disallowed the goal for a handball after a review by the Video Assistant Referee. The win was not unexpected for Bournemouth, who celebrated their fourth victory in the last five league matches, rising to a relatively safe 13th place. As for United, sitting in sixth place, they continue to take one step forward and two steps back, negating their impressive performance in last week's remarkable win over Chelsea.
