Diver Escapes Crocodile's Jaws Miraculously

An Australian man sustained severe head injuries after encountering a crocodile in Queensland, Australia. Marcus McGowan was attacked by the crocodile while diving with his wife and friends off Cape York. According to NBC News, McGowan stated that his head was inside the jaws of the crocodile, which attacked with full force. McGowan said, "I was able to pry its jaws open enough to get my head out. The crocodile tried to attack me again, but I managed to push it away with my right hand, which was later bitten." McGowan suffered serious injuries to his head and hands, necessitating his transfer by helicopter to a nearby hospital. According to the Australian Zoo, saltwater crocodiles native to Australia can grow up to 7 meters and can hold their breath underwater for up to 8 hours.
