The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported today, Thursday, that "an earthquake of 5.3 magnitude shook eastern Turkey." The center added that "the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers." Malatya's Governor Yazıcı stated that no damage reports have been received so far and inspections are ongoing in the city. A 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Battalgazi district of Malatya at 16:04.
