A US defense official announced that American forces in Iraq shot down a drone today, Friday, near the Ain al-Asad Air Base, which hosts US and other international forces in the west of the country. The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, stated that the drone was downed a few kilometers away from the base, without any injuries reported.
