The head of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, Hashem Safi al-Din, asserted during a solidarity gathering with Gaza, called by the party at the Shura courtyard in Haret Hreik, that "the Zionist entity is fundamentally based on massacres and the killing of innocents without any restraint, especially when supported by the American and Western powers."
In a large solidarity protest in Haret Hreik in the southern suburbs, condemning and rejecting the massacre, he stated, "We stand here to announce our strong condemnation and anger at the consecutive massacres committed by the Zionists, the latest being the massacre at the Baptist Hospital." He pointed out that "the reason for the bloodshed of peoples is the United States of America along with the West."
He declared that "every minute, the enemy is committing acts of genocide against entire families in the Gaza Strip without any movement from the Arab conscience." He noted that "the bombing that targeted the hospital yesterday confirms that the targeting was a premeditated decision," clarifying that "the hospital administration and the responsible officials did their utmost to secure the hospital, which is prohibited by all laws from being targeted."
He added, "The audacity of the Zionists was evident yesterday, as they attempted to shamelessly shirk responsibility and blame the Palestinian factions for what occurred."
