The Turkish presidency announced today that "President Recep Tayyip Erdogan informed United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres of the necessity to hold Israel accountable in international courts for the war crimes committed in Gaza." In a phone call prior to a United Nations Security Council meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, Erdogan told Guterres: "Israel continues to crush international law, the laws of war, and international humanitarian law without shame as it looks into the eyes of the international community," according to the presidency's office.
