The International Organization for Migration in Libya announced that 61 migrants, including women and children, drowned following a "tragic" boat capsizing off the coast of Libya. The organization added that the boat was carrying around 86 people and had set off from the city of Zuwara, located 110 kilometers from the capital Tripoli.
