French President Emmanuel Macron condemned, in response to the Israeli war in Gaza, "with the utmost firmness every bombing operation targeting civilians, especially the civilian infrastructure which must be protected under our international law and humanitarian law." He noted, in a statement during an official visit to Switzerland, that "we should work towards finding a political solution to the situation in Gaza."
