The stars of the film "Killers of the Flower Moon," directed by American filmmaker Martin Scorsese, captured attention on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday evening. The nearly four-hour-long film is based on a novel of the same name that achieved record sales. It revolves around several murders targeting the oil-rich Osage Nation in Oklahoma during the 1920s. Hollywood stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro star alongside Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser, John Lithgow, and Lily Gladstone. The film will not compete at Cannes, although festival director Thierry Frémaux stated that he invited the filmmakers to participate in the race for the Palme d'Or after Apple agreed to release it in theaters before its global release. Apple collaborated with Paramount Pictures to exclusively release the film in theaters on October 6, ahead of its worldwide screening, which is one of the prerequisites for allowing the film to compete at the Cannes Festival.
