During a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Thursday, Jordanian King Abdullah II called for "increased Arab and international efforts to re-launch negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis." He emphasized the need to "support Palestinians in gaining their legitimate rights and to intensify Arab and international efforts to find a political horizon for the Palestinian issue, paving the way for resuming negotiations with the aim of achieving just and comprehensive peace."
On another note, the Jordanian king spoke about "the pivotal role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in enhancing the system of joint Arab action," praising "the Kingdom's efforts in hosting the Arab Summit in its thirty-second session in Riyadh next month."
Both the Jordanian king and the Saudi crown prince confirmed their commitment to "continuing coordination and consultation between Saudi Arabia and Jordan regarding issues of mutual interest, in order to achieve their interests and serve the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations."
